Mission Statements Suck

Who cares where I've been.  It's none of your business and I'm back as long as this is a pleasurable endeavor.  I missed it here but it was impossible to write about chinos and button downs.  I'm not really sure I still can.  So, this will be a different blog with emphasis on the undiscovered and that doesn't mean camouflage.

I can't stand Mission Statements so I'll be blunt.  I want to go down the roads less traveled.  Shit, I want to hang out in Ghost Towns.  I want to turn you onto the buried truffles of the world and I expect you to reciprocate in kind.  Bring me what turns you on  -- What no one knows about --  Even if it's your recipe for Fruit Cake.

I love ghost towns. We have some physical ones in the Sierras, you'd like them, I think.

As long as you keep writing posts, I will delightfully continue to read them.

Hey, we all need mission statements.

Mine has something to do with "paradigms" and not farting during meetings.

Welcome back

A major turn on, at that time, was clipping through the sea at classified speed heading back to Subic Bay after 30 plus days on the line in the Tonkin Gulf! You could taste the San Miguel beer and female company in the salt air!!

How's that?

As usual, it will be an interesting journey.

You were missed. And I for one prefer the enjoyable chases down undiscovered or forgotten rabbit holes that you lead us on. Much more so than the internet's one millionth blog entry on chinos. Cheers!

Glad you're back. Now, what's going on with that magazine looking item with your picture on it in the photo you just posted? Do you have a book coming out? Regardless, it looks good.

Welcome back ... the chino point is interesting. Fact is, even the best modern rtw stuff here in London (Turnbull and Asser, Hilditch and Key) isn't as good as it was 10 years ago. Below the best it's sadder still.

I'm lucky enough to work a few yards from Hornets - it makes life interesting if expensive - and my conclusion is that the chino discussion is over. Pretty much no clothing available today is as good as the vintage stuff. And the vintage is running out, or at least will.

Sad state of affairs. I love your blog - look forward to the treasure and ghost towns...

Welcome back. Let's talk about real towns where work wear is not a fashion statement. More articles on: a perfect pan seared steak in a NYC apartment; Kimchee hotdogs; libations..........

A day late, but: Glad you're back. This is the only blog I have ever missed.

You should consider the following:

See The Drive by Truckers on October 17 at The Beacon. It will take you back to your days in the south.

See The Bad Plus on October 23. Or get a recording of their version of The Rite of Spring.

Tour the Donald Judd house on Spring Street, or hit the road and tour the installations in Murfa, Texas.

Get a cup of coffee at Flirting with the West.

Check out the iPad cases at KikaNY.

Welcome back. Try out that Danish place if you're in NYC!

I read this recently, and I think it works here: "You think you're writing on the world, but, at a certain point, you realize that the world is writing on you." Something like that.

No one can confine you but yourself. Brands are prisons. You inadvertently built a nearly inescapable one here. Of course it's just illusory, just like your instant understanding of the world's mysteries after five martinis. I look forward to whatever you do, JT.

Going through a divorce case is very heart broken when you love your partner with the whole of your heart.. My husband left me for a total stranger and I could not imagine what the hell was happening because everything looks like a dream to me. I was lost and confused about my life without any way to get a solution to make my husband see reasons with me that I love him so much. I was very depressed and desperate to win back my husband and I searched on GOOGLE for help about my situation and I got recommended to Lord Zakuza who is a powerful spell caster for he has so many magnificent testimonies and reviews on the internet from different people all over the world. I got in touch with him and I poured out my sorrowful heart to him and he encouraged and promised to help me out. He gave me some instructions of which a adhered to and within 48 hours of contacting Lord Zakuza my attorney called me to get me informed that the divorce case has been cancelled and I got a call from my husband 30 minutes after I finished speaking to my attorney. My husband and I are so much in Love with endless care and happiness and I so much thank Lord Zakuza for doing this for me and I know people out there might also need their partner or lovers back or want to get pregnant for your partner or husband. So, you can Text & WhatsApp Lord Zakuza on +1 740-573-9483 or email him via: ( Lordzakuza7@gmail.com ) for a change or story in your love life. Cheers!!!
